Find three consecutive odd integers, such that five more than the smallest integer is equal to 25 less than 3 times the largest number. Show work

    Let x be the smallest number and y be the largest number.

    3y-25-5 = x

    x+4=y

    3 (4+x) - 25-5 = x

    12+3x-25-5 = x

    3x-x=-12+25+5

    2x/2 = 18/2.

    X = 9

    x+4=y

    (9) + 4=y

    13. = y

    The second number is 11.
