    Answer: bookmarks cost $3 and bracelets cost $9

    explanation:

    (Bracelets = b)

    (Bookmarks = m)

    15b + 20m = 195

    Bracelets cost 3 times as much as bookmarks

    b = 3m

    Substitute b for 3m

    15 (3m) + 20m = 195

    Multiply 15 and 3

    45m + 20m = 195

    Add 45 and 20

    65m = 195

    To get m on its own, divide 65 from both sides.

    195 divided by 65 is 3

    m = 3

    Bookmarks cost $3

    Bracelets cost 3 times as much as bookmarks

    So $3 * 3 = $9
