    Paralell lines have the same slope

    perpendicular lines have slopes that multiply to get - 1

    neither is niegher

    so

    y=mx+b

    m=slope

    x=y+2

    minus 2

    x-2=y

    y=x-2

    y=1x-2

    slope is 1

    y=x+3

    y=1x+3

    1=1

    they are paralell
