    Simplify the following:

    (y^6 y^8) / ((2 x^2) / (x^4))

    Combine powers. (y^6 y^8) / ((x^2*2) / x^4) = (y^ (8 + 6) x^ (4 - 2)) / 2:

    (y^ (8 + 6) x^ (4 - 2)) / 2

    8 + 6 = 14:

    (y^14 x^ (4 - 2)) / 2

    4 - 2 = 2:

    Answer: (y^14 x^2) / 2
