The length of a rectangle is three times it's width. The perimeter of the rectangle is 100 inches. What are the dimensions of the rectangle?

    Geometry? Easy!

    Lets start with the width. Width = x

    Length of the triangle = 3x

    Perimeter = 100.

    Perimeter Formula = 2 (l+b)

    100 = 2 (x+3x)

    100/2 = 4x

    50 = 4x

    50/4 = x

    12.5 inches = x = width 3x (12.5 x 3) = 37.5 inches = length.
