    The population of bacteria would be approximately 3561 5 minute from now

    Step-by-step explanation:

    We use a rule of three to find the rate of growth at 5 minutes:

    11/3 = 5/x

    It reads - if every 11 minutes we have a population 3 times bigger then every 5 minutes we have a population x times bigger. Doing the rule of three:

    x = (5*3) / 11 = 15/11=1.36 approximately

    So the population at 5 minutes from now would 1,36 times bigger or

    Population = 15/11 * 2612 = 1.36 * 2612 = 3561.8 or 3561
