My grandma keeps a bunch of hard candy in her purse. She ran across a kid who was sad because he scrapped his knee on the ground and gave him a quarter of the candy in her purse. Later she went to a church function and ate one third of what she had left. Then she went home. At the end of the day, what percent of the candy she started with, did she have left?

    About 40%

    Step-by-step explanation:

Think of the candy as a circle. You take away 25 percent of it. Then you take away about 34 percent. Then add 25+34 which equals about 60%. then subtract 60 percent from 100. Which is 40. So about 40% is your answer.
