    Subtract 2 from both sides

    3/x^2 = 4y - 2

    multiply both sides by x^2

    3 = (4y-2) * x^2

    divide both sides by (4y-2)

    x^2 = 3 / (4y-2)

    squareroot both sides

    x = ± √ (3 / (4y-2))

    x = ± √ (3 (4y+2)) / (4y-2)
