A grain storage bin has the following dimensions, 11 feet high, 28 feet long and 12 feet

wide. The volume of 1 bushel is 2200 cubic inches or 1.273 cubic feet.

a) How many bushels of wheat can the bin hold? Answer to the nearest 10th

b) What would the weight of the wheat be in tonnes if the bin was full?

(1 bushel =.021722 tonne)

    how to do it!

    11 x 28 x 12 = volume of storage bin

    divide volume of storage bin by the volume of 1 bushel and round to the nearest tenth.

    multiply. 021722 by how many bushels can fit in the bin.
