Area means the amount of space taken up by the shape

pi = circumference/diameter=aprox 3.141592 ...

diameter=longest distance from one end of a circle to another, with a straight line

radius=1/2 diameter=distance from the center of the circle to the outside liine

circumference=distance around the circle

Pi is 3.14 and so on but thats all the beginners need to know
