    192 inches wide

    Step-by-step explanation:

    5 inches up = 12 inches over

    80 inches up = x inches over?

    from the information given we can find the quotient of the ratio 80/5.

    80/5 = 16

    now that we know the quotient of the ratio is 16 we can solve the equation x/12 = 16 by multiplying both sides of the equation by 12 to get x = 192.

    x/12 = 16 - -> 16*12 = x - -> 16*12 = 192

    double check by making sure the ratios add up and you get the same answer:

    192/16 = 12

    80/16 = 5
