    The independent variable is the amount of salt in the diet, and the dependent variable is blood pressure. The answer is letter D. Independent variables do not depend on the effects of the dependent variable whereas dependent variables depend on the input of the independent variable. It more like the ‘effect’ it does on the independent variable.
