If the clothing maker bought 500 m2 of this fabric, how much money did he lose?

    Clothing maker paid 400 tepizes per square meter.

    500 m² * 400/m² = 200,000 tepizes.

    1 yard = 0.9144 m ⇒ 1 yd² = 0.8361 m²

    500 m² * 1yd²/0.8361m² = 598 yd²

    In New York 1 yd² costs $120

    598 yd² * 120/yd² = $71,760

    Convert tepiz to dollars. 1 tepiz = 0.625 dollars

    200,000 tepizes * 0.625dollars / 1 tepiz = $125,000

    Sales $71,760 - Cost 125,000 = Net loss $53,140
