A psychologist attained a sample of 35 first-year undergraduate students who had joined an internet social networking community on the first day of the semester. After three days, she asked each student how many friends he or she had developed in the community. She found that the mean number of friends was 38, the median 25 and the mode, 24 with a frequency of 7 occurrences.

a. Report these results in the form that would be used for a journal presentation

b. Do you think the distribution of friends reported is skewed? What aspects of the descriptive statistics lead you to this conclusion?

    Ya distribution is skewed it is positive skew, as mean is larger than median.

    Aspect : descriptive statistics is the measure of central tendency. These are the different ways in which we describe a group based on its central frequency. There are several ways in which we describe this central position, such as with the median, mean and mode.

    other is measure of spread, that is not shown in ur question,

    so i thing first type descriptive statistics is used
