    Function A : f (x) = x - 9 ... the slope is 1

    Function B:

    (-1,-3) (2,3)

    slope = (3 - (-3) / (2 - (-1) = (3 + 3) / (2 + 1) = 6/3 = 2

    slope of function B = 2x the slope of function A
