Will travels only on Saturday and Sunday so he travels for 2/7 of the week

Jason travels from Monday to Friday so he travels for 5/7 of the week

    if we make them equal

    so Will = 400=2/7

if we divide 400=2/7 by 2 we get

200=1/7 or 200 miles per day

    for Jason = 500=5/7

if we divide 500=5/7 by 5 we get

100=1/7 so 100 miles per day

Will = 200 miles per day

Jason = 100 miles per day

So, what you need to do here:

    400/2=200 per week (william)

    500/5 = 100 per week (Jason)

Since 200 is greater, William travels more.
