A splice uses 24 centimetres of rope when two ropes are tied together. What basic fraction is this a 300 centimetre spliced rope

    so 24cm out of 300 cm is spliced

    24/300 is the fraction

    we can simplify this by dividing top and bottom by 3 to get

    8/100

    we can divide top and bottom by 4 to get

    2/25 is the most simplified fraction
