The perimeter of a sheet of paper is 38cm. If the width is 8 cm what is the length of the paper?

    15. (2•l) + (2•w) = 38.

    (2•l) + 8=38.

    Subtract 8 from both sides which leaves (2•l) = 30.

    Divide by 2 from both sides and that leaves 15.
