Molly ran ⅔ of a mile in 8 minutes. If Molly runs at that speed, how long will it take her to run one mile?

    It would take her 12 minutes.

    Each third of a mile takes her 4 minutes, hence 2/3rds of a mile takes her 8 minutes. An additional third of a mile would therefore require an additional 4 minutes, so 12 minutes would be a full mile
