    This problems is bases on this table of ingredients (which you omitted, but is mandatory):

    Ingredient %

    Ginger Ale 40%

    Orange Juice 25%

    Pineapple juice 20%

    Sorbet 15%

    You can verify that the four ingredients sum up 100%

    Now, Elise omits the sorbet and substitute it for 5% each of the other.

    Then the new formula is

    Ginger Ale: 45%

    Orange juice 30%

    Pineapple juice 25%

    Which, of course, sums up 100%.

    Now use the proportion of orange juice to the total to find how many cups of punch she will have if she uses 6 cups of orange juice:

    25 cups of Pineapple juice / 100 cups of punch = 6 cups of pineapple juice / x cups of punch

    And solve for x, to obtain; x = 6 cups of pineapple juice * [100 cups of punch / 25 cups of pineapple juice]

    x = 24 cups of punch

    Answer: 24 cups of punch
