    0.1 times 3 = 0.3.

    when you multiply the two numbers together, ignore the decimal. once you get the answer, move the decimal over left as many times as it was orignally.

    0.1 x 2 = 0.2 When you multiply 0.1 and 2, you move the decimal once because there is one decimal place.
