    The inverse of f (x) = x + 5/3

    y=x-5/3 so you switch x and y to find the inverse

    x=y-5/3 add 5/3 to both sides and get y=x + 5/3 as your inverse

    to find f (3) you plug 3 in for x

    f (3) = (3) + 5/3 = 14/3 = 4 and 2/3
