    We are looking for the calories per minute ... calories/minute ...

    (4 1/2) / (2/3) =

    (9/2) / (2/3) =

    9/2 * 3/2 =

    27/4 =

    6 3/4 (or 6.75) calories per minute <==

    4 1/2 divided by 2 is 2 1/4 so now we know that Blake burns 2 1/4 calories per 1/3 of a minute if we are trying to find a unit rate it needs to be every minute so 2 1/4 multiplied by 3 would be 6 3/4 every (1/3 x 3 = 1 minute)

    The answer is 6 3/4 calories a minute
