Higher Order Thinking A stack of

102 pennies is 6.1 inches tall. A stack of

10 - dimes is 5.3 inches tall. How much

taller is a stack of 10 pennies than a stack

of 10 dimes?

    0.068 inches because 6.1/102 is the number of inches per penny and 5.3/10 is the number of inches per dime. Multiply each result by 10 and then subtract the penny result by the dime result
