If the angles of a triangle are in the ratio 1:3:5, what is the measure of the smallest angle

    In a triangle, the three interior angles always add to 180°

    x + 3x + 5x = 180

    9x = 180

    x = 180/9

    x = 20

    the smallest angle = x = 20 °
