A rectangle has width that is 3 meters more than twice its length. if the perimeter of the rectangle is 186 meters, what is the length of the rectangle?

    Let the length be y.

    2y + (2y+3) x 2 = 186

    2y + 4y + 6 = 186

    6y + 6 = 186

    6y = 180

    y = 30

    so the length is 30 meters
