Suppose you are given two shapes and you must show that they are congruent using transformations. If the orientation of these two shapes is the same, which type (s) of transformations should you use to show that they are congruent? Why?

    Of the isometries, translation is your best tool. The orientation is already correct so rotation is unnecessary, as is reflection.
