After saving 1/4 of the money, Lee had 3/4 left.

He spent 1/3 of the remaining on a T shirt.

    1/3 x 3/4 = 1/4

He spent the rest on some CDs.

    1 - 1/4 - 1/4 = 1/2

    1/4 of the money = $12.50

    4/4 of the money = $12.50 x 4 = $50

He spent 1/2 of this money on CDs.

He earned $50 doing the summer job.
