In Geometry, there are several angle properties that we use to prove propositions. We can mention the most used properties.

    Angles on a straight angle.

When we have angles on a straight or flat angle, we can say that those angles are supplementary, because they sum 180°.

    Vertical Angles.

Vertical angles are known by their congruence. These angles are opposite to the common vertex. In other words, the share a vertex but not sides, and they are always congruent.

    Alternate angles.

An important property is when we have angles about parallels which are cut by a transversal. In this scenario, the altenate angles are congruent, whereas they are interior or exterior alternate angles.

    Co-interior angles.

This pair of angles inside parallels are supplementary, which means their sum is always 180°.

    Corresponding angles.

Once again, when we have parallels cut by a transversal, the corresponding angles are always congruent, they are corresponding when they are at the same side of the transversal, but one is interior parallels and the other is exterior parallels.
