    Given that a bag of fertilizer covers an area of 2000 ft^2, the number of bags required to cover a lawn whose dimensions is 360 ft by 120 ft will be given by:

    Number of bags = (area of lawn) / (area covered by 1 bag) * (number of bags)

    thus

    area of lawn:

    A=length*width

    A=360*120=43,200 ft²

    Area covered by 1 bag=2000 ft²

    Number of bags required for the lawn:

    43200/2000

    =21.6 bags

    ~22 bags
