George puts the chopped apples (1 and 3/8 teaspoons) in a bowl. Then he takes out 1/2 cup of the apples, and adds the oil (1/4 cup). What is the combined amount of apple and oil in the bowl? How your work, and write your answer in simplest form.

    First, add 1/2 and 1/4 which equals to 3/4 and then use cups to teaspoons so it is 3/2.
