    (1.3X10^6ft/hr) (2.8X10^3hr)

    (1.3*2.8) (10^6*10^3)

    Rule (a^b) (a^c) = a^ (b+c)

    (3.64) (10^ (6+3))

    3.64 (10^9)

    3.64X10^9 ft

    Technically we only had two significant figures and the answer should be:

    3.6X10^9 if we were to express our answer to the correct number of significant figures ...

    (1.3 * 10^6) (2.8 * 10^3) = (1.3 * 2.8) = 3.64 ... (10^6 * 10*3) = 10^9

    3.64 * 10^9 <==
