First of all you add 4 & 1 together (the ratios) to get 5 then you divide 360 by 5 to get 72. After that you times 72 by the ratios 72 x 1 = 72 72 x 4 = 288 So the answer is 72:288 I hope you now understand

360 divided by 5 x 1 = 72
360 divided by 5 x 4 = 288
288 + 72 = 360
