Pretend that set of number that we are going to use on a data are7,9,4,2,3,1,5,6,4,4,5,7,0.

Median-Line all the numbers up by numerical order from least to greatest, then pick the middle number of the set, like this.

If in this case, line up all of the numbers. 0,1,2,3,4,4,4,5,5,6,7,7,9. Cross out the numbers from the right and the left equally until you get ...4!

Mode is the most frequent number (s) on a data set. In this one, the mode is 4. It has more than the other numbers.

Range is just a subtraction problem ... You just subtract the lowest number from the greatest number. It is 9-0 in the example, so it is 9 as the range.

The "median" is the "middle" value in the list of numbers. To find the median, your numbers have to be listed in numerical order, so you may have to rewrite your list first. The "mode" is the value that occurs most often. If no number is repeated, then there is no mode for the list.
