    T = time in hours

    Jerry: 30t

    Jake: 35t - (10/60)

    30t = 35t - (10/60)

    *add (10/60) to both sides

    *subtract 30t from both sides

    10/60 = 5t

    *divide both sides by 5

    t = 2/60 hours = 2 minutes
