    22.22 cubic yards

    Solution:

    Given dа ta:

    Length of the side walk = 240 feet

    Breadth of the side walk = 5 feet

    Height of the side walk = 6 inches = 0.5 feet

    Volume = length * breadth * height

    = 240 * 5 * 0.5

    = 600 cubic feet

    Volume = 600 cubic feet

    Let us convert cubic feet to cubic yard.

    27 cubic foot = 1 cubic yard

    600 cubic feet = 600 : 27

    = 22.22 cubic yard

    Hence 22.22 cubic yards of concrete are needed.
