The length of a rectangle is 2 feet longer than its width the perimeter is 16 feet. find the dimensions of the rectangle.

    So you would have to set up a equation to find the length and width. The equation would be w + (w+2) = 16

    that simplifies to 2w+2=16

    2w=14

    w=7

    the width is 7

    the length is 9
