A School raised $13,809 during it's fall fundraiser and $20,786 during it's winter fundraiser. The total fundraising goal for the school year is $50,000. How much more money does the school need to raise during the spring fundraiser to reach its goal?

Then, we can add 13,809 to 20,786 and get 34595. Now, we bring down the + x=50,000 to make our equation 34,595+x=50,000. Now, we will subtract 34,595 from both sides, canceling 34,595 out on the variable side. This will leave us with x = $15,405, which is the amount of money the school still needs to raise in order to reach it's goal.
