Explain why 45/100 is written as a decimal with a 4 in the tenths place and a 5 in the hundredths place

    It is written as. 45 because it is showing that it is in the hundredths. For example if you wanted to convert it back you would know that since the 5 is in the hundredths place you would have the fraction 45/100. It is in the hundredths place because it is over 10 but less then 100
