What runs around all day and lies under the bed with its tongue hanging out

This is a famous riddle and the answer is a shoe. It doens't run but rather you run wearing it around. In the end of the day, it goes either under your bed when you take it off in your room or it goes somewhere special where its "tongue" is out, as it always is with shoes that have tongues. Of course, it can also be a dog, but that's just common sense, not part of the riddle's answer.
