    divide both sides by n

    we have

    A/n = nr²/n

    A/n = r²

    Since we are aske to express the formula interms of r and not r²,

    we are going to square both sides

    A/n = r²

    √A/n = (r²) ²

    √A/n = r

    therefore

    r = √A/n
