    Let the numbers be x, x + 1, x + 2, x + 3, x + 4, x + 5, x + 6: then

    x + x + 1 + x + 2 + x + 3 + x + 4 + x + 5 + x + 6 = 168

    7x + 21 = 168

    7x = 168 - 21 = 147

    x = 147/7 = 21

    Therefore, the least of the seven numbers is x = 21
