How do you do the substitution for

X = - 2y+7

X=4y=5

    Substition - First you want to do is make the inverse operation for either the x or y. I would make the the top x negative. So it would equal - x=2y-7. So add up the two equations. It should equal 2y=12 which makes y=6. For the x coordinate, you just plug in the y coordinate. So it should start out as: X=4 (6) + 5. X would equal 29. I think you made a mistake on the equation so get back to me and I could fix it.
