How can you mathematically prove that - 1*-1=1. Besides saying that negative times negative equals positive.

    Actually, if the second one is a positive, then the answer would actually be 0 as in - 1 + 1 but even if it is - 1 - (1), the second one would become negative which would equal - 2.
