3 Sugar Cups; 1.5 Sugar boxes

    Step-by-step explanation:

This can be solved by using unitary method of multiplication & division

Sugar needed per cookie = 3/4 cups

Number of cookies to be baken = 4 (for 4 friends)

Total number of sugar cups needed : -

No. of cups per cookie needed x no. of cookies to be baken

So, total number of sugar cups needed = 3/4 x (4)

    = 3 Sugar Cups

One box contains sugar cups = 2 sugar cups

Number of sugar cups needed = 3 sugar cups

No. of sugar cup boxes needed : -

Total No. of sugar cups needed / sugar cups in one box

So, No. of sugar cup boxes needed = 3 / 2

    = 1.5 Sugar boxes
