    Perimeter = sum of all side lengths. In equilateral triangles the sides are all equal in length. So, one side = perimeter/3.

    24 = 3x

    x = 8in

    To find the area:

    A = (1/2) base * hieght

    A = (1/2) 8*6.93

    A = 4 * 6.93

    Area ≈ 27.71 in²

    Answer:

    The area is about 27.72 inches squared.
