Well you first substitute a and b for the real numbers ^^
9 to the 2nd power or 9 squared.
13 to the 2nd power or 13 squared
Im other words
Not 13 multiplyed by 2 or 9 multiplyed by 2!
Squared means 13 multiplyed by itself.
13•13 = 169
Same for 9.
9•9 = 81
Therefore,
81 + 169 = c
