In a certain company 72 employees are men, what is the total number employees if 2 out of every 9 are men

    2 out of every 9 are men ... so 2/9 of the total employees are men ...

    2/9x = 72 ... with x being the total number of employees

    x = 72 * 9/2

    x = 648/2

    x = 324 < = = number of employees
