Find the lateral area of a cone with a radius of 7ft and a slant height of 13 ft. Use 3.14 for pi and round to the nearest tenth

    Lateral surface area is finding the area of the sides of a three-dimensional geometric figure. For a cone it is expressed as follows:

    A=πr √ (h^2+r^2)

    or when a slant height is given

    A=πrl

    We calculate as follows:

    A=π7 (3) = 65.94 ft^2
