Mary's dog weighs 32 pounds. The veterinarian says this breed of dog typically weighs about 13 kg. How many kilograms is Mary's dog above the typical weight?

    1kg is approximately 2,2 pounds

    32:2,2 = 14,5kg

    now you just need to subtract both numbers and you know how much she's above the typical weight.

    14,5kg-13kg=1,5kg

    so Mary's dog is 1,5kg above the typical weight
